WHAT IS THE TAPPA WALLET?
A cool slim wallet with RFID protection AND Anti Card Clash, letting you use your transport card by tapping…
The wallet is divided into readable and unreadable compartments. This unique design eliminates “card clash” with “contactless” payment cards.
This means only your chosen card can be read from the outside. The rest are all safe with RFID protection against card skimmers and e-pickpockets.
It is about commuting smoothly, safely and in style.
This means you no longer have to take your transport card out of your wallet for it to be read – just place it in the readable compartment and tap away. This compartment can also be used for work security cards or low value Paywave debit cards.
The unreadable compartment protects your other cards from skimming devices using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Protection. This means that thieves cannot use portable card readers to steal your bank card details straight from your pocket – ie your money is safe.
The Tappa Wallet is made of high quality leather and the slim design helps it fit into the skinniest of jeans.
No more fumbling for your transport card.
No more identity theft.
No more fat wallets.
THE PERFECT GIFT
Beautifully boxed, surprise someone with a classic gift.

WHAT IS CARD CLASH?
Card clash can occur when you tap your wallet containing more than one contactless card on a card reader. You may get an error message, pay with the wrong card or even pay twice for the one transaction.
Card clash is a common issue worldwide with MiFare technology; the technology widely used in contactless smart cards and proximity cards.
In Australia card clash currently exists between transport cards (such as Opal, GO & Myki) and common bank cards. The transport card is not readable so you need to remove it from your wallet to use it.
As Australia moves toward more advanced smart card technology and the usage of Paywave for public transport, card clash could also result in double charging.
In London, card clash from the Oyster transport card is so problematic that the Government has issued warnings across many of it websites and lists the risks of not separating and storing cards separately.
WHAT IS…Contactless Card Skimming, e-pickpocketing and Wireless ID theft?
This is when thieves use portable card readers to steal your contactless card information without your wallet even leaving your pocket. Cards can be read in seconds from only a few metres away.
Once the thieves have your card’s information, they can then program other cards to respond in an identical fashion (‘cloning’). This means that when they make transactions you end up footing the bill! They can also skim your card for a fake transaction just like when you tap your card paying for a coffee in a café.

WHAT IS RFID?
RFID stands for Radio-Frequency IDentification. It is the technology used to transfer information with contactless cards.
The acronym refers to small electronic devices that consist of a small chip and an antenna.
The RFID device serves the same purpose as a bar code or a magnetic strip on the back of a credit card or ATM card; it provides a unique identifier for that object. And, just as a bar code or magnetic strip must be scanned to get the information, the RFID device must be scanned to retrieve the identifying information.
RFID Protection simply means that the card is blocked from transmitting information. The Tappa Wallet uses RFID blocking material to achieve this.
